November 29, 2012 - Ron Brownstein of National Journal and Gloria Borger of CNN moderated a panel discussion about the Presidential election during the 2012 Campaign Decision Makers Conference at the Harvard Institute of Politics.

Romney advisors Stuart Stephens, Matt Rhoades, Gail Gitcho and Neil Newhouse discuss the infamous 47 percent video and the campaign’s reaction to it.

Stuart Stephens, early in the clip, admits to having been at the event but says he was out of the room during the particularly damaging remarks.

Rick Wiley, the Republican National Committee’s Political Director, wrote a memo on Nov 5 with the title: For Democrats, It’s (Ground) Game Over. It is possibly one of the funniest things I’ve read all year.

Given Rick Wiley’s tweet and Obama Campaign Manager Jim Messina’s response, they can’t say there weren’t clues…

On October 9, 2012, Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos told Bill O’Reilly that Suffolk would no longer be polling in NC, VA, and FL because those states are “already painted red.”

VA and FL are actually painted blue on election day.

I wonder if students can get a refund for Paleologos’ "Political Survey Research" class.

November 4, 2012 - Fox News claims to be using the Real Clear Politics electoral map, but the actual RCP map is a little bit different.
Fox News has Wyoming and West Virginia going blue on their map…oops.
Obama actually gets 209 electoral votes on the Fox News map, not the 201 they have listed.
This is both a map fail and a math fail

Mitt Romney exactly the opposite of George Romney on social welfare

Mitt Romney from the 47 percent video:

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them.

George Romney from his Special Message to the Seventy-Second Michigan Legislature - Second Session on Social Welfare Legislation

The facts of the matter are these. First, that a prosperous economy does not guarantee prosperity to all of our citizens. Secondly, that we have legal and moral commitments in connection with the subsistence, support, care and dignity of those in need. But more important is hope based on concern and opportunity. Third, that our ability to meet these obligations means the prudent expenditure of tax dollars.

October 30, 2012 - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie praises President Obama’s response to former hurricane Sandy. When asked by Fox & Friends’ Steve Doocy  whether Mitt Romney would be touring the damage in NJ, Christie responds: “I have no idea, nor am I the least bit concerned or interested.”
